We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. So convenient to many area attractions (The Everglades National Park, Everglades Alligator Farm, Key Largo and John Pennekamp State Park, restaurants, Miami, etc.) and the luxury to be able to spread out and relax after a long day of sight seeing. It's located in an agricultural/nursery district, so very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our family of five had a wonderful time at Redland Tropics. The house was clean and quite comfortable for our party of 5. We didn't have to fight over bathrooms and the kids really enjoyed having Netflix in each of the rooms. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds were clean and comfortable, and we really felt like it was home away from home.
The Homestead/Redland area in general has lots of orchard and farm land away from the loud chaos of Miami -- right up my alley! The house sits on 3 acres of orchards with all sorts of variety. We met Wayne while wandering in the orchard and he was gracious enough to take us on an informative tour of the grounds so we could identify the different kinds of fruit.
The location is perfect for getting to either Biscayne or Everglades National Parks (both about 20 minutes away) along with the Keys (we had a short drive down to Key Largo where we enjoyed a nice dinner on the water). We also had short drives to lesser-known spots like the Everglades Alligator Farm and the famous "Robert is Here" fruit stand (10-15 minutes each). If your objective is to enjoy peace and quiet in a rural setting with quick access to many of the natural wonders of South Florida, I highly recommend you consider staying here.

Our family of 4 stayed at this great guest home for 3 nights as our base to explore Biscayne NP and Everglades NP. I am so glad we did! The home is well laid out, clean, comfortable, and lots of great details that make the stay; a few zip locks, laundry detergent, water cooler, and more. The home is in a really nice area - so glad we stayed a bit north of Homestead where things felt a little more low key, safe, and relaxed. The kids loved exploring the fruit trees on the property even if there was nothing in season while we were here. Wayne was a great host and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice spacious and quiet. A beautiful setting and very private. Everything we needed and a great base for trips to the Everglades. A unique experience in a rural setting among the orchards.

I have stayed at many places via Airbnb, but I have no hesitation in saying this was my best experience. Wayne is kind, helpful, communicative and responsive. There was attention to detail in each and every aspect. The house was very clean and overall a very nice experience . My family and I had an awesome time. Would surely love to visit again.

My wife and I often travel with another couple who are long time friends. Both families are retired Army. We have much of the same interests: hiking, sightseeing, visiting National Parks and historical sites, We often stay at VRBO locations at least once during our ventures. We have never been disappointed. And, Wayne and Christina's property continued the perfect streak. We were TOTALLY pleased with the accommodations, cleanliness, hospitality, security, and privacy of this property. We would not hesitate to return if the opportunity arose!

We were very happy with our accommodations. The king size bed was amazing! It was also quiet in this rural setting. We enjoyed sitting outside looking at the orchard as dusk approached--and we enjoyed the big screen TV with Netflix access after dark.

We stayed with 4 adults and a teenager for 10 days at this wonderful location. Everything is well arranged and organized and the house is in excellent condition and it being situated in an orchard adds to the experience. Communication with the owners was excellent and detailed info about the house was provided in writing.
Many great sites are within easy driving range: Everglades, Biscayne Bay, Miami, Florida Keys etc. Go visit the Redland Market Village if you have a chance.

We enjoyed all interactions with the owners and their assistance with directions or locations was a real blessing. We will definitely be staying there again.

While we were attending family gatherings in the Homestead, Florida area, we discovered this beautiful home not far from out meeting location. This was just an added convenience to the already adorable home. With the 5 acres of orchard on the property to view or stroll through, our stay was quite relaxing and tranquil. The house itself had comfortable beds and nice amenities for everyone to feel thoroughly satisfied with their brief time there. We were able to achieve our main goal with our stay and that was to have time together in a place that was quiet and peaceful.

Nice, clean, well maintened, and secure property
We stayed here for for 5 nights while fishing the Miami canals. We arrived a few hours earlier than anticipated and the home owners were very nice about letting us know the moment the house was clean and ready for us (3 hours before official check in time). The place was nice and clean and exactly as pictured in the photos. Since we had a boat with us, the large driveway and electronic gate were a huge plus. The only minor downside is the house doesn't have cable so we missed opening weekend of college football, but they did have Apple TV which was nice so we were able to stream some content via our iPhones. They also have Netflix as well, but I would just prefer cable. All in all though, that's a minor gripe, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. GREAT little pizzeria about a 1/4 mile down the street called Redlines too, be sure to check them out for some killer pies. Eric C

This property was amazing and meet all our needs!
One of the items on our bucket list was to ride our motorcycles in the Keys and surrounding areas. This property made all of that possible. We had plenty of room to park our trucks, trailers and motorcycles. The central location of the property gave us easy access to the Keys, the Everglades, Biscayne Bay, Homestead Speedway, and Miami Beach. The house was perfect for our group of 7. We had plenty of room and a table large enough for us to all eat together. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner. He was very helpful in informing of us about the local stores for shopping and let us know to call if we needed anything. When one of our motorcycles would not start he was able to provide us with a battery charger and even provided us with a list of repair shops if we need one. The hospitality the Worthley Family showed was very much appreciated. If we ever travel to the area again we will definitely stay at Redland Tropics and will recommend the property to anyone visiting South Florida.

“SUPER NICE!!”
Left on 06/25/2016 for a stay in June 2016
The owner of the property is a very nice gentleman. He took the time out to greet his renters. He genuinely cared for our comfort!! My family loved the house. My mom is a clean freak and even she said that she really enjoyed staying at this property and she knew the owner takes good care of the property, as soon as she walked in. The house is located close to all the fruit farms in Homestead!! There are even fruit trees all around the house!! The scenery is so relaxing!! Will definitely stay again if opportunity arise for future travel!! Thanks aga in Mr. W

Wayne was a great host! He was in good communication prior to our trip and met us in person to review the house upon arrival. Everything was as super clean inside and the pictures are quite accurate for what you should expect. The property are was also nice with many fruit trees surrounding us... Wayne was close by next door in case we needed something, and at the same time, we had full privacy during the trip on our own. For the price and value, we certainly recommend this place to anyone looking to spend some time in Homestead.

During our 11-days holiday in Florida we lived in 3 different properties rented through Airbnb and this property was absolutely the best. Wayne was very communicative, tried to offer us earlier check-in and/or later check-out. The property was very clean and well equipped; linens and towels were nice, of good quality and very good condition. We really liked this property very much and would definitely recommend it.

Wayne was absolutely amazing! He really knows what he's doing. Check in was a breeze, and there were detailed instructions for everything emailed to me beforehand and printed out on the counter. The house was immaculately clean, and matched all the pictures. It wasn't fruit season when we stayed there, but there were some late-season limes waiting for us when we arrived. Such a pleasant stay, I would recommend this place to anyone!

Comfortable, convenient and clean!
We stayed for 1 week in mid-April. The property is located on a residential street in an area of Homestead that is primarily agricultural. We were surrounded on all sides by farms and orchards (including that of the owners), so evenings were invariably quiet and conducive to a good nights sleep. During the day it was lovely to look at all the lush greenery. Guests are encouraged to stroll the orchard and eat the fruit (although unfortunately it was not fruit season during our stay). The location is midway between Miami, Everglades National Park, and Key Largo, so it serves as a very convenient home base from which to visit these destinations. It consistently took us 45-60 minutes to drive to any of these destinations.
The property is a free-standing guest house behind the owners' residence. The entire property is accessed by an electronically-controlled fence and all doors on the guest house can be dead-bolted, so we did not feel like safety was an issue. The inside of the house itself is very comfortable and the mattresses/linens, sofa, and appliances seem new and of top quality. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom (with adjoining full bath) and a queen-size bed and 2 twin beds in a second bedroom. There is a second full bathroom in the hall. My husband, my 2 kids and myself all had plenty of room and privacy. Each bathroom comes conveniently supplied with its own hair dryer, a generous number of towels, and enough shampoo, conditioner and body wash to last our family of 4 for an entire week. Other thoughtful touches include a jug of distilled water for the clothes iron, laundry detergent for the washing machine, and a full complement of cleaning and cooking supplies for the kitchen. It was like being at home--all our needs were already accounted for in the house, because who thinks about stuff like that when you are packing to travel?!
The owners, Wayne and Cristina, are friendly and professional. They keep the property clean and in good working order. They respond quickly to questions (we used texting as the means of communication), and are honest and prompt in sorting out the financial matters.
In all, this was a well-located "home base" from which to explore South Florida and a comfortable home-away-from-home to return to after a full day of activities. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We couldn't ask for a better experience!
Two couples from SC stopped in the Homestead, FL area for 2 nights on our way to the keys. The hosts were welcoming and while on the premises, we never knew they were there. Very private, beautiful orchard and grounds. We enjoyed picking fresh limes, star fruit, and loquats! We asked for a tour of the grounds & had such an awesome time learning about the area, crops, local farming regulations, and the operations of the orchard. Air-boat rides in the glades are only 30 mins away, which was a huge draw for our trip. It was on our "bucket list". The guest house was very updated, roomy, and clean. Beds were so comfy! The hosts even had fresh fruit waiting for us upon arrival. We will most definitely stay here again on our next travels to south Florida. So peaceful and relaxing! I could go on & on about this place :)

Clean comfortable quiet well equipped house on private orchard
The house was perfect for us. The bed in the master was quite comfy. Ensuite very convenient. Living room cozy but not too small. Enjoyed watching movies on the huge TV while snuggled on the couch. Kitchen efficient.
Owner brought by any cooking item we needed. Overall well equipped.
The secure gated driveway made us feel very safe. Although there was just farms all around us.
Nice to know owners house just next door in case we needed anything like directions or suggested sights and shopping but we were never bothered.
Perfect home base for our daily trips to the Keys , Everglades, shopping or just cruising around exploring.
Lovely stay. Definitely recommend this house.

We loved Redland Tropics guest house!
We two co-vacationing couples chose the Redland Tropics guest house because it would give us a central location to explore Miami, the Everglades, and the Keys. It indeed was very convenient for day trips to these locations! And it was great to come back each evening to a quiet, secure, rural-feeling, homey place. Wayne and Cristina made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The house is beautiful inside, clean and very comfortable, with a nice Florida vibe of light colors and dark wood furniture. Everything we might need was on hand including really nice sheets and towels, and if we did have any questions or extra needs, our hosts were just a text or call away, and very responsive!
Having the orchard behind the house was special, even if nothing was bearing at our chosen time of year for this visit. We enjoyed lounging on the patio in the evening. Grocery stores and restaurants were just a short drive away. Often we would just make those stops on the way "home".
We highly recommend Redland Tropics, and if we return to the area, this is where we will stay again!

Excellent place
A great place to stay and Wayne (owner) is an attentive host. The inside is very clean, nicely furnished, and spacious. It has comfortable beds and fast internet. You will feel right at home. The property is private, quiet, and pleasant. The immediate area seems very safe and a secure feeling is further enhanced by a security gate. We did not even lock our car while there. I would stay again and highly recommend it to anyone.
We have stayed many places and this was one of my favorites.

Fantastic stay Rating Details: The property owner was very helpful, friendly and super organized. The vacation rental was spotless. We were very happy with the location. We were very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
The property is beautiful with lots of space and fantastic views. The master bedroom is huge and very well equipped. The second bedroom is also large and the beds are supper comfortable. Spacious living room with great entertainment center and nice dinning table. Very good finishing and furniture throughout. In-unit washer & dryer are very convenient and the kitchen has everything you may need. The outdoor dinning table and fire pit were the highlight of our stay and we enjoyed the outdoor cooking/washing station very much. Highly recommend this property!
